I have seen many different reviews on this item -- from great to poor. This is an EXCELLENT review. I have natural curly, frizzy Caucasian hair, shoulder-length, and this is the very best curling tool I have EVER used. What I do to look civilized is: set the front and sides of my hair with bobby pins, let the rest of my hair dry naturally then use the Curl Genius on the dry hair. I use the highest heat setting. Presto! I receive beautiful curls without the frizz. I do not know how this works on other hair types, but I couldn't live without the Curl Machine.
